ANDI MATICHAK & KYLE RICHARDS TALK HALLOWEEN ENDS –

By greatbritton

Halloween Ends is the final installment of the David Gordon Green-directed trilogy that first began with Halloween 2018.

The film brought back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode in her final battle with her monster Michael Myers.

The latest installment focuses on Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), a kid who falls to misfortune on a Halloween night when he is babysitting and due to a freak accident accidentally kills a child. He is acquitted of manslaughter, but the town now views him as a “psycho babysitter,” and he must face the wrath of the community.

After an incident where Corey cuts his hand dealing with his bullies, he ends up at the hospital, where he meets Allyson (Andi Matichak), and they instantly fall for each other. Little does Allyson know after Corey’s altercation with the bullies a second time, they leave him for dead, and he was dragged into a sewer pit where he meets the one and only Michael Myers.

From there, Corey inhabits the spirit of Myers and evil begins to ensue. Not to mention this is all happening while Laurie is writing her own story, a book dealing with the trauma of being a survivor at the hands of Michael Myers.

In this film, David Gordon Green explores the after-effects of trauma in family dynamics and within communities. In our interview with Andi, she touches on how this film expands on what it means to be a survivor and the examination of evil.

Interviews with Andi Matichak and Kyle Richards are below.

Halloween Ends is in theaters today and streaming on Peacock.
