Cousins! The 2023 Grammy nominations are officially in and Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter is reigning high securing the title of the most nominated artist in Recording Academy history!
Following the summer release of her beloved dance album’Renaissance‘ , the Texas native has earned a total of 9 nominations. Her hit single ‘Break My Soul’ is currently bidding for both song and record of the year. Along with three R&B nominations; one for her Oscar-nominated track “Be Alive” and two in the dance category — a first for the singer, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
Within Beyoncé’s longstanding career she has been able to land a total of 88 Grammy award nominations. It has been stated that she has broken her husband Jay Z ‘s record of being declared the most nominated artist in Recording Academy history.
“Seeing Beyoncé with that amount of nominations — it just blows me away. It’s a testament to who she is, the talent she has (and) the iconic music she’s put out over the years,” says Recording Academy president Harvey Mason jr.
He continues in saying, “To think about that power couple, holy mackerel. I added it up: It’s 176 nominations between the two of them. Can you imagine them sitting at the show together? If one of them wins, the other one’s going to be like, ‘I got to win. I got to get another one.’ It’s going to be fun to watch.”
