Boosie Badazz’s Daughter Fires Back at Her Father Over Crticism

By greatbritton

Boosie Badazz is a hip-hop figure unafraid to share his thoughts on someone else’s lifestyle — however unpopular they may be. In one of his least popular outbursts, he received a lot of criticism from Black Twitter in 2023 for calling out Dwyane Wade for supporting his daughter Zaya, after she came out as a transgender girl.

This time, it’s Boosie’s own daughter is the one who’s being critical.

In a lengthy video posted on Instagram over the weekend, Poison Ivi, born Iviona Hatch, opened up about her anger towards her father and how she’s tired of him constantly making negative comments about her lifestyle as a lesbian woman.

“I’m completely fed up with holding my tongue #imhumantoo NEW TAPE IN OCT smh papasmurf u can feel how u feel everybody is entitled to they own opinion but every chance u get you will not just bash me it’s not about u accepting it because I don’t need u to IM GROWN !! it can be you simply don’t like it and move on … you always rude love you always !!,” the post is captioned

She explained that her father’s recent interview with Yung Miami on the “Caresha, Please” podcast prompted her to say something since he accused her of “contaminating” his other children.

“She still can’t bring her situation to our house,” Boosie said in the interview. “My daughter is grown— because I don’t want it to contaminate her others [siblings]. It’s a generation we’re raising, and I don’t want her to get too contaminated for her other six or seven sisters who look up to her. I want them to bring me grandchildren…”

Ivi touches on several points in her video, getting visibly emotional when talking about her dad’s bigotry.

“I never said you was a bad father, because you not,” she said. “You gon’ make sure yo kids straight. You always gon’ do that. But emotionally? Mentally? You suck. And I know you suck with that because you rather go to the internet and have a conversation with the internet about your kids, before you come to us. He done did bout six, seven interviews bout me being gay.”

Marlon Wayans — whose oldest child, Kai, is transgender — noticed the criticism the “Wipe Me Down” rapper was receiving following Ivi’s video and defended him on X, writing, “U can’t paint @BOOSIEOFFICIAL as a monster. That man is father that provides. I believe him, his daughter and God will figure this out. It took me. A second. Give their family grace and time. This is growing pain. She know her daddy loves her. That’s all that matters. He may come…”
