As Diddy gears up for his highly anticipated trial, his legal team is issuing claims that the 2016 hotel video of him assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie has been heavily edited and ultimately destroyed!

An attorney for the Bad Boy CEO declared that they’ve been able to “confirm, through a forensic video analysis,” that the tape “was substantially altered in significant respects,” reads a letter filed in Manhattan federal court on Thursday reports the NY Post.

Diddy’s legal team has accused CNN of covering the time stamp of the video, altering the sequence of events, and speeding it up to “make it falsely appear that the actions in the video are taking place faster than they are.”

“As a result, the CNN videos do not fairly and accurately depict the events in question.”

The 55-year-old’s legal team states that they have made plans to file a motion of whether the tape should be allowed into evidence for his May 5th sexual assault trial.

In response to the series of allegations, CNN has issued a statement to the NY Post denying the issued claims.

“CNN never altered the video and did not destroy the original copy of the footage, which was retained by the source. CNN aired the story about the video several months before Combs was arrested,” says a network spokesperson on Thursday night (March 13th).

Cassie’s attorney Douglas Wigdor, tells Page Six that he isn’t shocked that Combs’ team “would make a disingenuous argument to exclude the disturbing video from being shown to the jury in the upcoming trial.”

“I am confident that the video fairly and accurately represents what happened, will be admitted into evidence, and that Combs will be held accountable for his depravity.”

As we previously reported, CNN exclusively released a March 5th, 2016 video of Diddy chasing Cassie down the hallway in a towel of an InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. Within the video, Diddy can be seen grabbing Cassie from behind as she waits for an elevator. He proceeded to kick her as she lay on the ground, ultimately dragging her across the floor.

Diddy took to social media following the release of the video to apologize while expressing that his actions were inexcusable.

The defamed music mogul is scheduled to appear in court on Friday ( March 14th) for a hearing.
