Cousins! Jermaine Dupri has a long list of accolades to celebrate this year. From So So Def marking their 30th anniversary to him being officially inducted into the Black Music Walk of Fame. It’s safe to say JD is definitely doing his big one!

The iconic producer was honored in a ceremony cultivated in partnership with the Black American Music Association on Thursday, October 26th in Atlanta, Georgia. According to @vibemagazine, the organization’s mission is to protect the legacy of Black music.

“I want to thank the city of Atlanta, College Park, Fulton County, and God today. It’s a perfect day for this to happen in the city of Atlanta,” said JD in a speech.

Fellow 2023 honorees were Lil Wayne, Queen Latifah, Magic Johnson, Marvin Sapp, and the late Mahalia Jackson.

“Man!! I just got inducted into the @blackwalkoffame and it feels amazing !! A lady on the red carpet asked me does this mean Atlanta is the new hollywood ? No! This is Atlanta this is Black music and Black entertainment #SoSoDef30,” wrote JD on X.
