Have you seen this teen? She made it on the Texas 10 Most Wanted list and is actively being hunted by law enforcement officials.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said they’ve been looking for 17-year-old Adiah Roberson for the past two months as she continues to elude police. They say the search for her stems from an incident in July at a Sonic in San Antonio. Daniel Shrewsbury, who was covering the night shift, arrived at the fast-food joint to discover Roberson allegedly stole $100 from the tip cup, police said.
Shrewsbury then walked up behind Roberson’s vehicle to take pictures of the license plate. However, while snapping the evidence, police allege Roberson stepped out her vehicle and shot Shrewsbury in the chest.
Police say he managed to retreat inside the restaurant before collapsing. He died on the scene.
Since then, state officials launched a manhunt to locate her. Authorities say she’s only one of three potential suspects in the killing. Though, Roberson is the only one who made the state’s Top 10 Most Wanted list as a fugitive.
Police describe her as 5 feet and 5 inches tall and about 100 pounds with piercings on her nose, lips, face and eyebrows. The reward for any information as to her whereabouts is now $5,000. At the moment, police say Roberson is considered armed and dangerous.
The latest tip police say they received is that she may be in Austin. Authorities say they have the arrest warrant hot and ready for when they locate her. It’s unclear what charges she’s facing.
Anyone with information on Roberson’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS or submit a tip through Facebook or the DPS website.
