Speaking in a new cover interview for PEOPLE, Williams talked at length about the things that led up to their divorce, specifically saying that complications with his legal status was the jump off point for their eventual dissolution. After some tough conversations, in which Guobadia allegedly didn’t listen to the advice she was giving him, things started to become rocky for the two.

Things came to a head on Valentine’s Day 2024, when the couple hit a “point of no return” as Williams described it. She would go on to file for divorce a little over a week later.

Explaining their relationship breakdown, the “RHOA” star said: “There were some old habits, some desires he wanted to accomplish outside of family. And I think that he possibly chose those things over me. That part took over in the end. I don’t know that person.”

She went on to say that there were “big factors that really, really hurt in the divorce. I loved him so much because I trusted him, and I felt safe with him, and that’s what I lost. I couldn’t trust him.”

Meanwhile, in a new interview with Page Six on Thursday (June 26), Guobadia had a bit more ill feelings towards his ex-wife, saying flat out that he “regrets” ever marrying her and felt his relationship was a “coup.”

Speaking to his divorce specifically, Guobadia explained that he was “totally blindsided” by her filing and after not being able to reach her or her family members, he sent her a text which read: “This was a $5 million rehab project that I took on.”

He further told Page Six: “She never shared her concerns or issues with me before filing for divorce. If you’re married…you discuss issues and say, ‘Hey, if this does not change or something does not happen, this is what might come of it.'”

Guobadia also went on to say that he felt targeted from the jump for his financial success.

“I think I was targeted. I was targeted from day one for financial reasons. When I filed for divorce from my previous ex-wife [‘RHOA’ cast member Falynn Guobadia, Williams] was in my DM praying for me,” he revealed. “I think I was in a vulnerable position at that time, and I entertained it. So it just kind of snowballed from there. Getting engaged [to Williams] in 30 days … who does that? I was out of my goddamn mind to have done that. Of course, I’m paying dearly for it.”

And by paying, he means that literally as he’s responsible for paying $40,000 a month in alimony as well as paying for all the mortgage and expenses for the house they had together in Atlanta for the next 36 months as Williams continues to live there.

As we previously told you, back in February, Guobadia was reportedly detained by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and spent four months in its detention facility before being sent to Nigeria. But it doesn’t look like Williams’ words are dampening his spirits as his latest Instagram posts show him in Dubai living his best life.

While the American “fashion bible” searches for Wintour’s replacement, we can’t help but notice the obvious rising presence of Black editors. With this significant shift in Black voices shaping major fashion publications, it’s hard not to get too excited about what could happen next. 

We’re gonna come right out and say it — the idea that the new Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue could be Black is not a total shot in the dark. Chioma Nnadi took the seat at British Vogue as head of editorial content back in October 2023, closing a 107-year gap for Black female representation in their top editorial role. She succeeded the magazine’s first-ever Ghanaian male editor, Edward Enninful, who held the position for six years.

And that’s not all. Editors continuing to lead the charge in Black representation across major editorial positions include Samira Nasr, Editor-in-Chief at Harper’s Bazaar — breaking a 153-year streak; Lindsay Peoples Wagner, Editor-in-Chief at The Cut; Jessica Cruel, Editor-in-Chief at Allure; Nikki Ogunnaike, Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire; and Kenya Hunt, Editor-in-Chief of Elle UK. You picking up what we’re putting down?

With so many Black editors holding powerful positions, the fashion world is unapologetically evolving — but will Vogue follow suit and embrace the wave in leadership? DDG has expressed a desire to travel to Italy to see his son, Halo, while the one-year-old is in Rome with his mother, Halle Bailey, who is filming in Italy.  

On Tuesday, a month after the 25-year-old actress and singer was granted temporary sole physical and legal custody of their son after she accused the 27-year-old Twitch rapper of abuse, attorneys for DDG requested he be given permission to travel to Rome to visit with his son, with the rapper’s mother supervising, Billboard reported.

According to his attorneys, he intends to travel to Rome at the end of this month. 

Bailey’s legal team has given the okay, and the judge called the request “reasonable.” However, Bailey’s attorney, Jeremy Lane, would prefer that the visits be supervised by a professional monitor rather than DDG’s mother. He expressed concern over DDG’s mom “enabling” his alleged abusive behavior, including posting about Halo and Bailey on social media, per Billboard. The judge said she would require a third-party monitor and a ban on posting about Halo, if the request were granted.

The outlet reported that the lawyers are now working out the logistics of finding a professional third-party monitor in Rome, Italy. 

Following a split in 2024—a year after they welcomed Halo—in May, Bailey filed for a restraining order against DDG accusing him of physical and emotional abuse and requested full custody of the child. She was temporarily awarded sole custody as they continue to work out a permanent agreement in court. 

DDG denies the allegations and fired back in a filing of his own, claiming she was the abuser during the roughly two years together and expressed concerns around Bailey’s mental health. In response, Bailey claimed DDG was “exaggerating” and that while she has struggled with thoughts of self-harm in the past, she has a better grasp of her mental health now. A final hearing on the matter in the Los Angeles family court is scheduled to take place later in July. 

In regard to his permission to visit Halo while he’s abroad, a hearing was scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 26.

M3GAN may be back with a bad attitude, but so is Tess, and actress Jen Van Epps couldn’t be more thrilled about it.

The stop-motion sensation, scene-stealing Tess of moral spine and whip smarts in M3GAN, sat down with our own Nakia Richardson for an exclusive, raucous interview to chat about all things from the movie’s surprise box office hit boom to the cultural connotations of AI and the delight of STEM girlies holding it down in horror.

The energy from the start was charged.

“You look amazing,” Nakia dripped, finding the tone exquisitely right in pure love. Jen smiled, serving nerd-chic reality through her signature specs and minimal style. “Thanks! You look amazing too, clearly!”

And so there is much to celebrate.

On the coattails of the surprise success of M3GAN, the film that emerged unexpectedly last year and garnered immediate pop culture appeal, the sequel M3GAN 2.0 is already making huge waves. Did Jen herself fall under the phenomenon, though?

“Not at all!” she laughed. “When we were filming it, I kept thinking. There is a child in a rubber doll suit walking around. I thought, What are we doing?!”She joked. “Even when Brian [Jordan Alvarez] told me it was good, I thought, You’re being nice.”.
And I saw it at the premiere and went, ‘Holy cow.’ My brother-in-law, a brutally honest producer, leaned over and said, ‘This is going to be a hit.’ And I thought, Let’s go.

Buckle up.”

M3GAN tore through meme culture, Halloween costume season, and even reality dating shows like Love Island. “I was watching Love Island, and there was M3GAN?! Like, how did she get in here? ” Jen laughed.

And then there is Tess.

In M3GAN 2.0, Jen’s not simply hanging in there; she’s flourishing. “I think she’s discovered her own a lot,” Jen claimed. “She’s fighting for better working conditions, better pay, and actually using her tech whiz skills. I never want to see my character be there for tokenism. I want development. And Tess? She expands.”

As Nakia observed, M3GAN is not only horror, it’s a woman in STEM romance. Jen fully agreed.

“We’re at the point where AI is not sci-fi anymore,” Nakia explained. “It’s real, and everybody’s having the conversations about it. Were you even thinking about robots and AI beforehand?

“Honestly? No,” said Jen. “AI was still that blobby thing back then. I used to imagine robots like. a cleaning mop rampaging around your house. But now? Yes. The stakes are higher than ever.”

Much to our surprise, Jen had an unusual hands-off experience with ChatGPT and generative AI. “I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t used it!” she laughed. “Except once for a dog audition photo. That’s it. I haven’t even used it correctly.”

At the conclusion of the interview, Nakia posed one final question: What can fans look forward to in M3GAN 2.0?

“It’s better in all ways,” Jen promised. “Two robots this time, not one. The laughs are bigger. The energy is bigger. And the genre-bending? Better. It’s forging its own beat. It’s not horror. It’s something else.”

And if louder words were needed on genre-bending, Jen’s actions speak louder than them.

“I am Chinese-Black, a genre bender myself,” she stated. “Representation is important. I have had people reach out to me and tell me how empowering it was to see a Blasian woman in that kind of role. That means the world.” With a gigantic smile and a hearty goodbye, Jen left as Tess would’ve: low-key, tough, and prepared to take on whatever was next. M3GAN 2.0 hits theaters soon. And trust us, you ain’t ready.

Knowles gushed about Solange’s talent and creativity in an emotional Instagram tribute to her youngest daughter.

“39 years ago today! I was waiting in anticipation for you to come and join our family. Of course, I had to go to the Hospital because, in true Solange style, you decided you would come when you got good and damn ready! They induced me and you finally came and my life was never the same again,” she wrote in part. “You brought so much Joy and laughter and you ran the house Always expressing openly your opinion, your disappointment and your Joy when things were right! Always defending the underdog and always telling the truth even when it hurt! Always creating ART in one way or another.”

The post received over 122,000 likes and more than 2,500 comments, including a loving response from the birthday girl.

Knowles has made being a supportive mom her priority. She told PEOPLE in April that she’s always done her best to make her kids feel special and raised them to believe the “sky’s the limit every day.” And her girls appreciate all the love their mom has poured into them.
