Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez Caught in Passionate Kiss Outside His LA Home – Where Is The Buzz

[ad_1]

Jessica Alba is officially locked in and with a kiss that’s sending shockwaves across the internet. The 43-year-old actress and entrepreneur was caught in a sizzling embrace with rising actor Danny Ramirez outside his Los Angeles home Friday, confirming the whispers of a brand-new relationship that’s heating up fast.

TMZ released exclusive photos showing the couple full-on making out like two high schoolers with nowhere to be and no one to impress. With hands clasped tightly and eyes closed, the pair looked absolutely lost in each other. And yes, they even matched outfits like it was straight out of a rom-com montage: baggy gray sweats, black tops, and dark baseball caps. Love in LA, but make it coordinated.

Planting the Seeds of Love, Literally

And it’s not just PDA they’re sharing. In a short video also captured by TMZ, Jessica and Danny were seen strolling across the street toward his home, carefully carrying a massive potted orchid plant. Interior decorating, or a symbolic gesture of their blooming relationship? Either way, it’s giving domestic bliss.

Eyewitnesses say the energy between them was unmistakable, casual, playful, and downright flirty. From the way they moved to the little touches between kisses, Jessica and Danny looked like a couple already deeply enmeshed in their honeymoon phase.

Cancun, Cocktails, and Chemistry

The steamy smooch isn’t the first clue fans have had about this surprising new duo. Just last week, the pair was spotted boarding a flight from Cancun together after what looked like a romantic vacation getaway. And on Wednesday, TMZ cameras caught the two leaving Alba, a chic restaurant in West Hollywood (and yes, it bears Jessica’s name). Ramirez was behind the wheel, but it was Jessica’s megawatt smile that did all the talking. She looked radiant, refreshed, and dare we say, smitten.

While the two have yet to comment publicly on their relationship, their body language screams one thing loud and clear: This is real.

A Fresh Chapter After Divorce

This public romance marks Jessica’s first known relationship since filing for divorce from longtime husband Cash Warren earlier this year. The two were married for 16 years and share three children together.

In a January Instagram post, Jessica addressed the split, stating the couple would “move forward with love, kindness, and respect for each other and will forever be family.” Sources close to the exes say things have remained remarkably amicable, with co-parenting arrangements already smoothly in place.

The split was officially filed in February, and until now, Jessica had kept her dating life under wraps. That is, until nowwith Ramirez, she’s not just stepping out. She’s leaping.

As Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour draws to a close, Blue Ivy emerges as a star

[ad_1]

“Who they came to see?” Beyoncé asks as she performs her 2023 single “My House” during the Cowboy Carter tour. For many, the answer has been Blue Ivy.

Blue Ivy Carter, the Grammy-winning artist’s 13-year-old daughter, is more present than ever on stage, and fans are impressed by the growth from her first performance years ago to now.

Isabella Kerr, 15, has admired Beyoncé for years, but said she attended the Cowboy Carter tour specifically to experience Blue Ivy’s moves in person.

“People are saying, “Oh, she’s a mini Beyoncé,” but no, I think she’s the first Blue. Everything about her when she’s on stage is electrifying,” said Kerr.

The Cowboy Carter tour concludes Saturday in Las Vegas. The tour’s 30 previous shows have had fans buzzing that Blue Ivy is well on her way to being a next generation powerhouse.

Blue Ivy’s stage presence grows on Cowboy Carter tour

Blue first graced the stage at 11 years old during her mother’s 2023 Renaissance tour, appearing during the legacy-celebrating anthems “My Power” and “Black Parade.” Supporters anticipated her performance at each stop.

She performed again during “Beyoncé Bowl,” the NFL Christmas Day Halftime Show that was just nominated for four Emmy Awards. She danced alongside the icon as she performed songs from the “Cowboy Carter” album for the first time.

“Even the difference between the Renaissance Tour and now, you can tell she’s really grown in her confidence,” said fan and artist Olivia Ellis. “You can tell she has a different vibe about her.”

On the Cowboy Carter tour, she can almost be mistaken for one of Beyoncé’s professional dancers. She is on stage for nearly every song and has a solo recreating her mother’s choreography from her 2006 “Déjà-vu” music video, a nod to the undeniable similarities between the two.

An inherited professionalism

Online videos of Blue display professionalism comparable to her mother’s during the Cowboy Carter tour. During a rainy New Jersey stop, she brought out towels to dry her area of the stage before nailing her “America Has a Problem” choreography.

In another unexpected moment during a Chicago show, her earring got caught on Beyoncé’s hair. Blue remained calm, removed the jewelry and motioned to the singer that it was safe in her hand as they both seamlessly continued.

“It’s the family business,” said Kinitra D. Brooks, an academic and author of “The Lemonade Reader,” a collection that explores the nuances of Beyoncé’s 2016 visual album, “Lemonade.” “She is literally studying under the best person doing it out there today. Why wouldn’t she take advantage of that opportunity?”

Blue Ivy’s fans dub themselves as the ‘Ivy League’

In “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” fans were given a behind-the-scenes look at the decision-making process the first time Blue was allowed to perform. Beyoncé expressed how nervous she was about her child being in front of thousands of people made her, revealing she initially said no.

“I did not think it was an appropriate place for an 11-year-old on a stadium stage,” she said in the documentary. “I made a deal with her, and I said, ‘If you practice and you show your commitment, I’ll let you do one show.’” Blue Ivy fulfilled her end of the deal, and a fan base was formed: the “Ivy League.”

Kerr says Blue’s accomplishments inspire her to work harder to achieve her own dreams. “She worked to be on stage, and look at her now. If I work to what I want to be, I can be killing it like her.”

At last month’s Cowboy Carter Paris stop, members of the Beyhive and Ivy League finally got what they had been asking for — Blue Ivy merchandise. Shirts with the teen’s face and the phrase “Déjà Blue” plastered on the front were available for purchase.

Prior to that, fans were creating their own custom pieces that highlighted Blue and Beyoncé’s connection.

At the MetLife Stadium show, Ellis wore a custom corset top she painted, showcasing Blue Ivy and her 8-year-old sister, Rumi Carter, on stage with Beyoncé during “Protector,” a track from the “Cowboy Carter” album that Rumi is featured on.

“I thought that would just be a really fun moment to highlight on a corset,” she said. “It’s just really cool to see her as a mom because we’ve all grown up with Beyoncé, and now it’s like her show is kind of like a family affair.”

Mother-daughter duos resonate with Beyoncé and Blue Ivy’s bond

Blue Ivy’s confidence and professionalism are not only a testament to her hard work, but Beyoncé’s motherhood.

Mother-daughter duos around the globe filled stadium seats, excited to watch Beyoncé and her daughter display their strong bond for the world to see. In many cases, the mothers have been Beyoncé fans for years and are excited for their daughters to grow up with Blue Ivy, a high-flyer for their generation.

Tanazha Baylis took her now 11-year-old daughter, Aria Brown, to the Renaissance tour, where she did not miss a beat dancing along to Blue Ivy’s “My Power” choreography.

Brown was so determined to attend the Cowboy Carter Tour that she started selling popular toys, such as slime and Squishmallows, and saving her money.

“She literally was like, ‘Mom, I don’t know what you’re going to do, but I have to go to this concert,’” said Baylis. “I just had to make it happen after that.”

Brown became a Beyoncé fan after participating in a dance recital with a theme centered around the superstar’s career throughout the years. Baylis, who says she has always been a big fan, is happy to share these experiences with her daughter.

“It just showed her a cool mom and daughter, and it’s just something that she can do as well. Beyoncé is a little older but, with seeing Blue there, it made it tangible for her.”

Although there is no solid answer for what the future holds for Blue Ivy, it is widely recognized that the possibilities are limitless.

“We couldn’t imagine that Beyoncé would do all of these things that she could do. All we saw were people trying to put limitations on her,” said Brooks. “I think one of the things that Beyoncé wants us to do and what she wants for Blue is for us to not put those limitations on Blue.”

Every Anime Character Megan Thee Stallion Has Cosplayed, Ranked – Where Is The Buzz

[ad_1]

Megan Thee Stallion is more than just a Grammy-winning rap goddess and cultural icon. She’s also a certified anime nerd, proudly waving her weeb flag high. From bold lyrical references to full-blown anime-inspired looks, Thee Hot Girl Coach has made it clear that cosplay is part of her creative DNA.

Whether she’s stepping into the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure or channeling the mystical energy of Bleach, Meg does it all with unapologetic confidence, meticulous detail, and a level of commitment that rivals professional cosplayers.

We’re ranking Megan Thee Stallion’s top anime cosplay characters from the fierce and iconic to the downright unexpected. Buckle up, otakus. This list is wild, weird, and 100% certified anime hottie behavior.

15. Death the Kid from Soul Eater

The symmetry king meets the Hot Girl Queen

Megan Thee Stallion as Death the Kid

While Megan didn’t go full monochrome with this one, she paid tribute to the chaos and order of Death the Kid with some striking black and white visuals and gun-heavy poses in her styling. While it’s more homage than full cosplay, the essence is all there, moody, deadly, and artistically balanced. It’s giving a goth dominatrix with a precision complex.

14. Warhammer Titan from Attack on Titan

Meg went colossal. Literally

Megan Thee Stallion as Warhammer Titan

This one shocked fans during a photoshoot rollout where Megan hinted at the bone-spear-wielding Warhammer Titan with body paint and eerie ethereal makeup. It wasn’t a pixel-perfect recreation, but the powerful feminine rage of the character was captured with chilling accuracy. Titan energy meets Texas hot girl unstoppable.

13. Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen

Cursed king meets the queen of bars

Megan Thee Stallion as Sukuna

Meg’s take on Sukuna wasn’t just cosplay; it was pure menace wrapped in lace and attitude. Think glowing red markings, dramatic eyes, and Jujutsu energy so strong you’d think she ate a cursed finger for breakfast. A chaotic baddie for the ages.

12. Yumeko Jabami from Kakegurui

High-stakes, high-glam, and hella dangerous

Megan Thee Stallion as Yumeko Jabami

Meg brought the gambling psycho energy with a red schoolgirl look and those signature twin black braids. Yumeko’s unhinged thrill-seeking spirit meshes surprisingly well with Meg’s fierce, unpredictable persona. A cosplay moment that screamed, “Bet against me and lose everything.”

11. Bruno Bucciarati from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Zippers? Check. bob? Check. Camp? Off the charts

Megan Thee Stallion as Bruno Bucciarati

Meg’s JoJo love runs deep, and this Bruno look proved it. With tailored white fabric, deep V’s, and zipper accents, she nailed the fashion-forward, bizarre flair that defines the Golden Wind crew. It was sleek, strange, and unexpectedly elegant, much like the JoJo universe itself.

10. Mirko from My Hero Academia

Rabbit hero energy equals unstoppable baddie mode

Megan Thee Stallion as Mirko

Megan’s athleticism and unapologetic sex appeal matched Mirko’s brute strength and boldness perfectly. Sporting the white leotard, fluffy ears, and thigh-high power stance, she embodied the pro-hero with flawless execution. Thick thighs did save lives here.

9. Trish Una from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Pink hair, pink energy, pink everything

Megan Thee Stallion as Trish Una

When Megan pulled off this Vento Aureo beauty, she didn’t just dress the part; she lived it. The structured crop top and skirt combo screamed JoJo couture, while her pose screamed Hot Girl Summer. Trish is a princess with psychic powers. Megan is a rap queen with poetic dominance. It was a match made in anime heaven.

8. Todoroki from My Hero Academia

Fire on one side, ice on the other, a cosplay that was truly half and half

Megan Thee Stallion as Todoroki

Meg was stunned in her Todoroki fit, rocking a dual-colored wig and fire-and-ice makeup effects that were a chef’s kiss. She added a feminine twist to the hero’s stoic vibe, creating a cosplay that was both visually arresting and emotionally layered. Powerfully soft. Fiercely chill.

7. Hatsune Miku

She turned a virtual pop princess into a real-life Hot Girl concert fantasy

Megan Thee Stallion as Hatsune Miku

While not technically anime, Megan’s Hatsune Miku cosplay blurred the line between internet idol and IRL icon. From the twin teal pigtails to the futuristic styling, it was a high-octane blend of pop culture and cosplay that only she could pull off. Thee Vocaloid we didn’t know we needed.

6. Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen

Six Eyes meets six-inch heels

Megan Thee Stallion as Satoru Gojo

Meg snapped with her Gojo cosplay, giving us the blindfold, the white hair, the devil-may-care grin. But she also added her signature sauce thigh-highs, glam makeup, and sass. Gojo is already cocky, powerful, and flashy. Megan turned that dial to 11.

5. Sailor Moon

The OG magical girl got a Texas-sized upgrade

Megan Thee Stallion as Sailor Moon

Megan’s Sailor Moon cosplay was iconic from the jump. It had everything: the pigtails, the tiara, the cosmic skirt swirl. But it was Meg’s confidence and wink to empowerment that made this one stick. She is fighting evil by moonlight and twerking by daylight. Period.

4. Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece

Rubber limbs and Hot Girl energy

Megan Thee Stallion as Monkey D.Luffy

Meg flipped the gender script with her Luffy cosplay, wearing the red vest, denim shorts, straw hat, and that million-dollar grin. She didn’t just cosplay the Pirate King, she became him. Carefree, strong, chaotic, and loyal to the crew. It’s no wonder this look became a fan favorite.

3. Boa Hancock from One Piece

Beauty, brains, and “men are beneath me” energy

Megan Thee Stallion as Boa Hancock

This cosplay served main character energy with a side of lethal seduction. Megan in Boa Hancock’s rose-and-gold robe, long black hair, and death stare was a moment of supreme dominance. Hancock’s love-me-or-die attitude aligns perfectly with Megan’s unbothered diva demeanor. Bow down.

2. Jolyne Cujoh from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Chains, braids, prison chic? Say less

Megan Thee Stallion as Jolyne Cujoh

Meg’s Jolyne cosplay broke the internet and for good reason. The emerald green lipstick, heart cut-out top, and star tattoos were all on point. But it was her embodiment of feminine rage meets stoic strength that brought it home. Jolyne Cujoh is the definition of a ride-or-die. So is Meg. Top-tier.

1. Yoruichi Shihōin from Bleach

Thee moment. Thee cosplay. Thee excellence

Megan Thee Stallion as Yoruichi Shihōin

At number one, we had to give it to Yoruichi, the catlike, lightning-fast goddess from Bleach, and Megan devoured this look. The black bodysuit, golden accents, purple hair, and smoky eyes created a cosplay so flawless it could’ve been anime canon. Yoruichi is stealthy, powerful, mysterious, and unapologetically dominant, literally everything Megan Thee Stallion represents. This wasn’t just cosplay. It was a transformation.

Megan Thee Stallion isn’t just cosplaying for clout. She’s a genuine anime lover who puts respect on the art form. Her looks are imaginative, precise, and dripped in authentic passion for the medium. She’s not playing dress-up. She’s embodying these characters in full Hot Girl spirit. Whether she’s pulling inspiration from shonen icons or magical girls, one thing’s clear:

Megan Thee Stallion is the ultimate anime baddie.

Jacksonville Sheriff Addresses Video Of Officers Attacking 23 Year Old Black Man; “Yes; The Force Is Ugly–Just Because It Is Ugly Doesn’t Mean It’s Unlawful”

[ad_1]

Noir Nation, here we go again. Social media is in an uproar after newly released bodycam footage from Jacksonville shows a disturbing encounter between deputies from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) and 22-year-old William Anthony McNeil Jr. during a February traffic stop that ended in violence.

🚨 It Started As A “Seatbelt Stop”

According to JSO, McNeil was pulled over for allegedly not wearing a seatbelt and driving without headlights in what officers described as “inclement weather.” But in the video, McNeil can be heard calmly disputing the claims, saying:

“There’s no rain.”

He repeatedly asks for a supervisor, keeps his tone respectful, and does not attempt to flee. Still, deputies claim he was being uncooperative for keeping his doors locked.

👊🏾 Then Things Turned Ugly

The situation escalated fast. Deputy D. Bowers is seen breaking McNeil’s window and punching him multiple times in the face, pulling him violently from the vehicle. The video is hard to watch—and has sparked national attention as yet another example of unjustified force against a Black motorist.

🗣️ Sheriff T.K. Waters Responds

In a press conference addressing the now-viral video, Sheriff T.K. Waters issued a statement that left many feeling unsettled:

“Yes, there absolutely was force used by the arresting officers. And yes, that force is ugly. But… just because force is ugly does not mean it’s unlawful or contrary to policy.
I will neither defend nor commend Officer Bowers’ response to resistance until all the facts are known and the investigation is completed.”

Sheriff Waters confirmed that Officer Bowers has been temporarily stripped of law enforcement authority while an administrative review is conducted. The State Attorney’s Office has already ruled out criminal charges.

McNeil was charged with resisting arrest without violence and driving with a suspended license. He served two days in jail after pleading guilty. Other charges, including marijuana possession, were dropped.

His legal team, led by Ben Crump and Harry Daniels, is pushing back hard—calling the allegations fabricated and the encounter a blatant case of excessive force.

“This is the kind of trauma Black men face even when they’re calm, respectful, and clearly unarmed,” Daniels stated.

🎓 Who Is William Anthony McNeil Jr.?

McNeil is a college student and musician, studying biology at Livingstone College. He told reporters he feared for his life and was “confused and scared” throughout the entire stop.

“I knew I didn’t do nothing wrong,” McNeil shared. “I kept asking for a supervisor because I felt like I wasn’t being treated fairly.”

🖤 Noir Nation, This Is Why We Stay Loud

Once again, we’re forced to witness a young Black man brutalized during what should’ve been a basic traffic stop. The bodycam footage doesn’t lie—and yet, accountability still feels optional.

Keep your eyes open, your voices raised, and your foot on the gas when it comes to demanding justice.

WATCH: OnlyFans Model Woesenpai Allegedly Tries to Frame Ex by Running Into Wall and Pistol Whipping Herself – Where Is The Buzz

[ad_1]

A jaw-dropping new video of OnlyFans performer Alexandra Cohen, known as Woesenpai, has left the internet reeling after a video of the influencer allegedly pistol whipping herself and colliding with a wall went viral this week. The appalling videos, initially leaked by her ex boyfriend Rojah on July 25, were claimed to have been taken amid an angry outburst on May 24, 2024 and the web hasn’t been able to look away.

The incendiary video has sparked an avalanche of reaction, alarm, ridicule, and indignation as the couple’s troubled past comes under a blinding social media spotlight. What started off as a split has blown out of proportions into a cyber disaster with claims of violence, mental illness, and manipulation swirling from both camps.

The Shocking Video That Sparked It All

Most viral is a video of Woesenpai, 28, allegedly crashing headfirst into a doorframe before apparently shooting herself in the face with a handgun a scene so bizarre that it has drawn comparisons to a B-movie melodrama. The videos don’t stop there.

Other videos uploaded by Rojah are:

  • Woesenpai throwing herself onto the hood of his car while he attempts to drive away.

  • Her smashing a television screen and a car window during what appears to be a violent outburst.

  • A harrowing moment where she sits in the middle of a road at night, expressing suicidal thoughts and appearing disoriented.

  • Alleged attempts to provoke police intervention by fabricating injuries.

Rojah claims to have uploaded the videos in self-defense following years of what he terms “abuse and manipulation.” He accuses Woesenpai of physical attacks, emotional manipulation, and racist slurs during their two-year relationship. He claims that she had purposefully beaten herself up to frame him for domestic violence which is now the center of the web’s craziest speculations.

Internet Reacts: “She Literally Pistol Whipped Herself”

Social media lost it the moment those videos hit public domains. On X (Twitter), there were thousands of reactions ranging from people being appalled to hysterical.

“I am on IG fucking crying laughing bro that Woesenpai chick is on there literally pistol whipping herself and running into the door trying to break her nose 😭😭😭😭😭” — @TheLifeUvJr

“Woke up, opened unlocked my phone and saw Woesenpai pistol whipping herself. July has been something for online sex workers.” — @KennySpenceNBA

“Y’all seen Woesenpai & her Ex crashing out on IG? Shawty crazy asl she literally pistol whipped herself, tried to get hit by a car on purpose, tried to stab her self, ran into a door (literally) & broke dudes rear window & snitched to the cops multiple times ALL ON CAMERA 😭😭” — @HAMNOBURGERR

Others took a more serious tone, expressing alarm about Woesenpai’s mental state and questioning the ethics of spreading such disturbing footage online.

Who is Woesenpai?

Woesenpai, whose real name is Alexandra Cohen, is a social media influencer, model, and adult content creator with a massive following. On Instagram alone, she boasts over 939,000 followers, with additional subscribers across OnlyFans and TikTok.

Renowned for her unique style, fiery temper, and online feuds, Woesenpai has created a dedicated but occasionally inciting following. She was once well on her path to becoming a social media star influencer in the influencer advertising and digital adult entertainment industry prior to this scandal.

Woesenpai Responds: “This is a Smear Campaign”

In response to the leaked video, Woesenpai showed up on Instagram Stories, denying the abuse allegation and showing a rather different story. The videos are “old, taken out of context,” she states, and show a period of utter mental health collapse which was caused by Rojah’s own abuse, she asserts.

“This man took advantage of me mentally, emotionally, and financially,” she wrote. “He STOLE from me, from my DAUGHTER, and now he wants to play the victim? All these videos are cherry-picked and spliced together to destroy me.”

Woesenpai denied strongly using the racial slurs, stating, “There is no video of me ever saying anything racist because it never happened.” She also held Rojah responsible for manipulating her in the relationship, which had driven her crazy, and profiting from her breakdown.

Anthony Anderson Responds After Throwback Interview With Lindsay Lohan Raises Eyebrows! – NoirOnlineOrg

[ad_1]

PHOTO: Getty Images

Noir Nation; a 2003 interview between Anthony Anderson and then-teen actress Lindsay Lohan has come back to haunt the timeline—and the vibes are not sitting right with the internet!

During a throwback appearance on The Sharon Osbourne Show, a 33-year-old Anderson chopped it up with a 17-year-old Lohan about her new movie Freaky Friday—but things took a turn real quick.

🗣️ “Some Men Like Them Young…”

In the clip, Anderson jokes about Lohan and her then-roommate Raven-Symoné being “young and beautiful,” before tossing out this eyebrow-raising line:

“She’s single but looking… Some men like them young. We ain’t gonna mention names—but I’m one of them.”

👀 Baby, that’s the line that set the whole internet OFF.

Lohan, clearly caught off guard, replied:

“I’m illegal… for people that are old.”

Still, Anderson continued the banter, joking about “getting our freak on” and even placed an arm around her as she nervously laughed and covered her mouth.

The audience? Laughing.

The vibe? Very much not it.

🧠 Twitter Think-Pieces & Receipts Are Flying

As the interview gained traction on social media, fans and critics alike called the interaction “disturbing,” “creepy,” and “textbook predatory behavior disguised as jokes.”

One user wrote:

“Why were we normalizing this on daytime TV in the early 2000s?”

Another said:

“The way she had to laugh through her discomfort is WILD.”

📣 Anderson’s Camp Speaks Out

Now, Anthony Anderson is speaking through his reps, calling the comments “a poor attempt at humor” and insisting:

“This interview was clearly intended as comedy. He regrets if the humor was in poor taste and maintains the utmost respect for Lindsay,” a spokesperson tells Entertainment Weekly via email on behalf of Anderson. “Any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory.”

They also emphasized that it was intended as comedy—and not something deeper or more sinister.

📂 The History Ain’t Helping

Let’s be clear: this isn’t Anderson’s first time being placed under the microscope. Internet sleuths quickly reminded folks of previous sexual misconduct allegations from 2004 and 2018—both of which were dropped with no formal charges filed.

Still, for many, the resurfaced clip paired with that history? It’s not giving “coincidence.”

💭 The Real Tea

This is yet another example of how the internet doesn’t forget—and how moments once passed off as “jokes” are now being reevaluated through a lens of accountability.

The public sentiment? You can call it comedy all you want, but if the person on the receiving end looked uncomfortable… it’s giving red flag energy. 🚩

🖤 NoirOnlineOrg Takeaway:

When the past resurfaces, the truth doesn’t always age well. This clip might’ve aired in 2003, but the reaction in 2025 proves one thing: we see it all differently now—and no amount of reruns can change that.

#NoirNation, what do y’all think? Was it just a joke, or a warning sign we ignored too long ago? Drop your thoughts.👇🏾

Rep. Ayanna Pressley is frustrated by lack of ‘sustained outrage’ and allyship over Black suffering

As President Donald Trump continues to hammer away at diversity, equity, and inclusion, while pressuring the private sector, including businesses and college campuses, to end DEI policies, U.S. Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley admits that as she and other Democrats continue to fight for racial equity, she is frustrated by the lack of “sustained outrage” over how the rollbacks of DEI and civil rights protections are impacting Black communities.

“It’s very frustrating that the work of Black liberation and having our full freedoms and those things that are birthright for others, the appetite to do that work is fickle. The stamina is lacking and the commitment short-lived,” Pressley told theGrio this week just before introducing the “Equity in Government Act,” which would restore former President Joe Biden‘s executive orders advancing DEI across the federal government.

In his first six months, Trump has fired or laid off tens of thousands of federal employees, many of whom are disproportionately Black–which includes roles that were either explicitly or presumed to be DEI-related. Advocates have also decried the president’s “Big” tax and budget bill that resulted in historic cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, which Black Americans disproportionately rely on.

The Trump administration’s war on DEI has closed offices or agencies and clawed back funding intended to expand Black entrepreneurship and address racial disparities in health, environmental injustice, and education.

Pressley and other Black members of Congress have been on the frontlines raising alarm about the rapid speed of blows to years-long, and in some cases, decades-long programs designed to repair the harms of centuries of enslavement and racial subjugation that faced Black Americans.

Some gains were seen during the Biden-Harris administration, including historically low Black unemployment and poverty rates, and record growth of Black-owned businesses. Seeing the loss of the modest gains for Black communities, including the reneging of racial equity commitments made by corporations during the Black Lives Matter uprisings of 2020, is admittedly difficult to digest, said Pressley.

“Black folks are still being killed by police. Black women are still three to four times more likely to die of childbirth and postpartum complications, and those numbers continue to rise since the fall of Roe [v. Wade]; Black books, authors, stories are still being banned; Black homeownership is the lowest it’s been in six decades,” the congresswoman reflected.

Pressley, quoting her former colleague and civil rights activist, the late Congressman John Lewis, explained, “This is a struggle for a lifetime, and as exhausting and demoralizing as that is, and it’s, you know, every Black woman has said, ‘All my life, I’ve had to fight,’ right? We’re having to litigate, legislate, agitate for those things.”

The Democrat representing most of Boston also called out allies who she said aren’t speaking out loud enough about policy issues that are crippling Black Americans and their futures. Sharing a personal story, she told theGrio, “I just had a conversation with some allies today, I said, ‘Why don’t you ever name anti-Blackness?’” She continued, “It has become so normalized as par for the course to be Black in America, as if it is just our lot in life.”

Pressley said there isn’t enough “sustained outrage” nor “sustained allyship,” adding, “This work cannot be tied to hashtags and sporadic headlines of focus. I’m not sure what it is going to take.”

Despite her frustration and, at times, exasperation, the U.S. House representative said she often turns to the words of Dr. Coretta Scott King: “Freedom is never really won. You earn it and win it in every generation.”

“I don’t have the luxury of cynicism or apathy. When my weariness takes over, I say those words because they remind me of my responsibility in this moment,” Pressley told theGrio. “The gains are not guarantees. These things do not exist in perpetuity. We have to fight like hell to preserve the gains that have been made, and then we have to fight like hell to expand them.”

Astronomer Trolls Chris Martin After the Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot Scandal With Help from Gwyneth Paltrow – Where Is The Buzz

[ad_1]

Astronomer, the AI and data software company at the center of a recent viral scandal, is laughing its way out of infamy. Just two weeks after executives Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot were caught on a Coldplay concert kiss-cam in what many interpreted as a romantic embrace, Astronomer has enlisted none other than Gwyneth Paltrow to mock the chaos and sell their latest products. Yes, seriously.

From Viral Kiss-Cam to Gwyneth Paltrow Cameo

The saga began in mid-July when former CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot were spotted cuddled up in the crowd at a Coldplay concert near Boston. The stadium’s kiss-cam zoomed in on the pair just in time to catch what looked like a mid-embrace. Both executives appeared visibly startled, with Cabot ducking behind her hands and Byron turning sharply away from the screen. The moment could have ended there, awkward, fleeting, and ultimately forgettable.

But then Coldplay frontman Chris Martin chimed in.

“They’re either having an affair or just very shy,” Martin quipped, prompting stunned gasps and then full-on internet combustion.

The footage, instantly uploaded and circulated online, triggered widespread speculation about a possible workplace relationship between Byron and Cabot. The company launched a formal internal investigation. Within the week, both resigned. Astronomer’s Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy was named interim CEO.

That should have been the end. But instead of retreating into corporate silence, Astronomer chose full meme-mode.

Enter: Gwyneth Paltrow (Yes, Really)

In a new self-aware promotional video released this week, Astronomer appears to be leaning all the way in. The video opens with actress and wellness mogul Gwyneth Paltrow, who just so happens to be Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s ex-wife, standing calmly on screen, delivering what appears to be a traditional corporate address.

“I’ve been hired on a very temporary basis to represent the more than 300 employees at Astronomer,” Paltrow deadpans, her expression perfectly neutral. “I’m here to answer some very common questions.”

But rather than address that question, you know, the one about two top execs possibly having an affair at a Coldplay show, Paltrow launches into a hilariously serious pitch for Astronomer’s newest data and AI tools. It’s a masterclass in misdirection.

The video cuts again, this time with the on-screen header: “How’s Astronomer’s social media team holding up?” The implication is clear: they’ve been through it.

Paltrow continues, “There’s still room available at Astronomer’s Beyond Analytics conference in September. Thank you for your interest in Astronomer.”

And with that, the Goop founder smiles politely, gives a slight nod, and the screen fades to black.

Executive Fallout Still Simmering

While Astronomer’s content team wins points for creativity, the executive shakeup remains serious. Neither Byron nor Cabot has commented publicly since their resignations. The company’s board has not disclosed the findings of its internal investigation, nor whether the two violated any company policies.

Astronomer has also declined to comment on whether Cabot and Byron’s relationship had been previously disclosed or whether either party violated internal HR codes.

Paltrow, for her part, has made no statements outside the video, which appears to be a one-off appearance.

From “Conscious Uncoupling” to Corporate Rebranding

Adding to the strangeness of it all is the meta-layer of Paltrow’s involvement. The Oscar-winning actress and lifestyle tycoon was married to Chris Martin for over a decade, before the couple famously announced their “conscious uncoupling” in 2014. Their divorce was finalized in 2016, and the two have remained amicable co-parents.

Now, years later, Paltrow is inadvertently reuniting with Martin, sort of, by cleaning up the PR mess his concert helped unleash. Call it Coldplay karma or post-divorce synergy, but the internet is eating it up.
