Kanye West’s former personal assistant Lauren Pisciotta has filed a second amended complaint accusing the rapper of sexual assault, sex trafficking, false imprisonment, and a slew of other serious offenses.

The updated lawsuit, filed this week in California, paints a harrowing picture of systematic abuse, inappropriate sexual behavior, and alleged coercion during Pisciotta’s time working under the Grammy-winning artist, who legally changed his name to Ye. The new complaints add to the 2024 lawsuit that accused Ye of sending Pisciotta “vile” and “traumatizing” text messages and videos before abruptly firing her, but these complaints add more graphic details about the alleged assault.

In the documents obtained this week by TMZ, Pisciotta alleges the abuse began during a business trip to San Francisco, where the two were staying at a hotel while preparing to launch a new Donda Academy location.

According to Pisciotta, Ye began making inappropriate sexual comments, including asking about her genitals, and then kissed her without consent.

She describes a horrifying incident during a late-night writing session in Ye’s hotel suite. Pisciotta claims Ye began masturbating and then touched her vagina, before inexplicably falling asleep mid-sentence as he was talking to her.

Later that night, the nightmare allegedly continued.

Pisciotta says Ye came to her room, claiming he needed to use her shower. Once she opened the door, she claims Ye forced his way in, pushed her onto the bed, pinned her down, and forced his penis into her mouth. She says she begged him to stop, but “froze in shock and fear.”

Eventually, she says, Ye stopped, apologized, and left the room.

“A Sexual Gift”: Pisciotta Says Ye Tried to Trade Her for Sex

One of the more disturbing claims involves sex trafficking. Pisciotta alleges that Ye attempted to “trade” her to another man as a sexual gift, in exchange for sleeping with that man’s partner. According to Pisciotta, this behavior wasn’t a one-time thing. She says Kanye had a pattern of offering women to other men as “sexual gifts.”

These explosive accusations elevate the lawsuit far beyond the realm of workplace harassment, hinting at a predatory sexual culture behind Ye’s inner circle. Pisciotta says she was left feeling like “a pawn in Ye’s perverse games.”

What Happened At Diddy Studio Session?

Pisciotta’s first amended complaint, filed in May, already shocked fans and legal observers. In it, she alleged that Kanye drugged her during a music session cohosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Diddy, who just got convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in a federal criminal trial in New York, has not been directly implicated in Pisciotta’s lawsuit.

Kanye’s Response? A Bizarre, Crude Tweet

While West has not formally responded to the latest court filing, he did appear to reference Pisciotta earlier this year in a now-deleted tweet from February after reports came out that she was in hiding.

In typical erratic fashion, Ye wrote:

“WHY DID I NEVER FK LAUREN PISCIOTTA SHE SMELLED FUNNY AND HALF OF THE NBA CAN ATTEST TO THAT”

The tweet, widely condemned as misogynistic and demeaning, now reads as a potential self-own, given Pisciotta’s legal claims of sexual assault.

Many people in the comments agreed. “Nah I think as a pastor he could of passed on that one,” one person wrote. “Megan Good up 1000 points lmaooo,” a second Instagram user said, while a third penned, “it threw me.” One person commented how they “don’t think it’s a sin to take the job, but I do however believe if you’re a pastor, that should mean your first priority is saving souls, so I’d personally only take roles that are uplifting and represent my character in real life. If the role is “not of God” I’d decline.. UNLESS I no longer want to be a leader in the Christian realm.”

Franklin, who is a Seventh-day Adventist and ordained minister, often incorporates his faith and spiritual principles into his work and public appearances. Which makes his character’s suspected sexuality a point of contention with some fans.

But, not everyone agreed.

“It’s calling ACTING, people,” one person defended. Another added: “Because it’s a role, not his story. Yall need to wake up and touch grass,” while someone else agreed, writing: “Because it’s a role 🙄 y’all to holy omg.” Other comments supporting Franklin included, “Look up the definition of an Actor. Then you will find your answer,” “Y’all have a problem with EVERYTHING,” and “Yall too strict for me!! Are yall seriously upset with this man for acting and getting paid??? IKYFL.”

The film producer was a regular on “The Dr. Oz Show,” where he offered advice about faith, spiritual wellness, and relationships. Franklin, who proposed to Maria Castillo in December 2024 during a vacation in Maui, was named to Oprah’s SuperSoul100 list of visionaries and influential leaders. He was first married to Meagan Good for nine years before he filed for divorce. The couple stated they remained chaste prior to their marriage, and even co-authored a book about it, “The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love” in 2015.

Franklin said that he does not regret writing the New York Times bestseller, despite their divorce, believing its core message about delayed gratification and faith still holds value for others.

A pastor who miraculously fought off and forgave a teen carjacker while visiting Baltimore hopes something positive can come out of the moment.

Pastor Kenneth Moales Jr., who was visiting Baltimore City towards the end of June from Bridgeport, Connecticut, for a funeral, was carjacked at gunpoint on Pratt Street in Upper Fells Point, CBS News reported.

In video footage of the incident obtained by WJZ, an armed 16-year-old in a ski mask can be seen approaching Moales’ vehicle when he taps on the window. 

“I size him up, like I can take this guy. I can take him, but again, he has this gun pointed at my chest. It doesn’t take that long to kill somebody,” Moales said.

When the pastor got out of his car, the two proceeded to tussle, with the pastor successfully fighting back. After wrestling him to the ground, the teen broke loose, picked up his gun and a shoe that had fallen off, and got in the car before driving away. The entire altercation was over within two minutes.

Now, more than a week later, Moales is back home in Connecticut with his car recovered. Authorities were able to locate the car within a matter of hours. Three teens aged 15, 16, and 19 have been made in connection with the crime. (The 19-year-old has since turned 20.) 

The pastor said during the melee that he forgave the 16-year-old boy who carjacked him. As he pleaded with him he informed him that he was husband, a father, and a pastor. 

“I’m extremely frustrated with his choice, but much like his generation, that’s where we are,” Moales said. “I want to be part of the trial. I want to testify against him and ask the judge to give him mercy.” 

He added that he’s more hurt that teen still chose to make off with the car even after learning that he was a pastor who intended to let him go. The encounter has reignited a sense of purpose in the pastor to bring the younger generation back to god and back to hope. 

“We’ve got to save our sons,” he told WJZ. “Because as a community, if our sons go down, that’s the whole community.” 

The encounter hasn’t put the pastor off of Charm City. 

“I love Baltimore. I want to make it clear, I love Baltimore,” he stressed. “I don’t view Baltimore outside of the light of the epidemic of all urban communities. It’s just a dangerous time.”

Acacia Young and her fiancé, Antzy Villefranche, installed Ring cameras in their home to keep an eye on one of their children, who was sleepwalking. But while they thought the device was keeping their family safe, they soon found out the opposite was true when they discovered someone was using the device to spy on them.

Young told NBC News San Diego she began to get suspicious when she saw the camera recording at times when it was supposed to be disabled. But her antenna really went up when she heard a familiar voice coming through the speaker that made her disconnect the device immediately – Villefranche’s ex-wife.

“It was his ex-wife’s voice — it was her voice,” she said. “And I looked up and the blue light was on and the camera was rolling.”

Things got even creepier when the couple discovered strange devices connected to their Ring account, including Amazon Fire Sticks and a Samsung television that were in the ex-wife’s name. NBC News San Diego reported that a restraining order request the couple filed in family court accused the ex-wife of live-streaming over 700 hours of video from inside their home over a period of two months – including some extremely intimate family moments.

“The footage she ‘live viewed’ and recorded includes deeply personal and private moments, such as my fiancee breastfeeding our newborn, nudity and partially undressed footage of our children, including my 10-year-old stepson, in vulnerable settings…. [She] also accessed and recorded confidential household conversations, including private discussions between my fiancee and me regarding our finances, credit card numbers, banking details, Social Security information, medical records, medical health history, and other protected health and potential identity theft,” the document read.

Although Amazon removed Villefranche’s ex from their family account, Young says she’s still haunted by the idea of her fiancé’s ex watching her family.

“There’s no way to describe how violated you feel,” Young said. “It feels like someone touched me. It feels like I found somebody in my house, physically in my house. Like she had been in my house for months, and we had no idea,” she told NBC News San Diego.

Amid widespread online scrutiny following the 2025 Essence Festival of Culture, Essence Ventures CEO Caroline Wanga is entering the chat.

While there has been no public announcement to suggest she’s no longer the CEO or is on leave, Wanga joined Essence Ventures as the chief growth officer in 2020 after 15 years at Target. In 2022, she took over the reins as president and CEO of Essence Ventures, per her LinkedIn. The post arrives amid a thorny few days online of backlash against this year’s festival. As many who attended reported having a wonderful experience, there are still quite a few raising questions around the brand’s current leadership as it continues to evolve with the times. 

In particular, some online have gone as far as to call out the current leadership directly, leading to debates around the heritage of some of its leaders.

She noted her beliefs that everyone is “obligated” to do their part to advance life and bring about meaningful change. However, this should be done responsibly.  

“Leveraging factual and constructive observations, insights and experiences is the only appropriate way to drive change,” she continued. “And should take place as often as needed in service of progressing forward, with sufficient room for the nuance of individual perspectives that needn’t align across all but reflect the realities of the voices that share it.”

Wanga said she encourages debate and discussion “within the aforementioned guardrails” and without “sensationalized slander without proof, lies without legal defense, and character concoctions that give way to conviction and correction.”

“Some have with full knowledge, demonstrated unsubstantiated behavioral undermining that reflects an inability to defend feedback without back-feeding truth,” she said, concluding with, “The “defamation” and “disparagement” smoke that accompanies correlating the uncorrelated ain’t what anyone should want. Take Heed.”

The ugly intersection of racism, social media, and sports rivalries flared up again this week, and WNBA star Angel Reese is once again at the center of the storm.

An offensive, digitally manipulated image of the Chicago Sky forward went viral on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, depicting Reese with a monkey photoshopped over her face in what appears to be fake cover art for NBA 2K26. The racist post, clearly meant to dehumanize Reese, was swiftly condemned by sports figures and fans, but the fallout didn’t end there.

Robert Griffin III Speaks Out… Then Reignites Controversy

Among those who spoke out against the vile image was Robert Griffin III, the Fox Sports football analyst and former NFL quarterback, who posted a strong condemnation of the racist imagery on X.

“This has got to stop,” Griffin wrote. “There is no place for racism in this world. Whether you like a player or not. Angel Reese should never be called or depicted as a monkey.”

But while Griffin’s message was initially received as a defense of Reese, he quickly veered into murkier waters, using his post to reference his past criticism of the WNBA rookie and claim that people within Reese’s inner circle had privately agreed with him.

Griffin’s statement referred to his previous commentary where he said it was “obvious” that Reese “hates” Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark, a comment that stirred backlash earlier this summer. According to Griffin, backlash to that commentary led to his family receiving death threats after Reese allegedly shared a clip of his podcast.

“I never attacked her or her family,” Griffin wrote in Thursday’s post. “When I stated and backed up with clear basketball evidence that Angel Reese hates Caitlin Clark. It’s sports. Everybody won’t like each other. People in Angel’s inner circle called me and told me I was right.”

Angel Reese Responds: “Lying on This App”

Reese wasted no time clapping back, and she wasn’t amused.

“Lying on this app when everybody knows the first and last name of everybody in my circle for clout is nastyyyy work,” Reese wrote, throwing cold water on Griffin’s claim of insider support.

She did not name names, but her tweet sent a clear message. Nobody in her camp spoke to Griffin, and she’s calling BS on his version of events.

Griffin, unwilling to let the challenge go unchecked, responded again in defense of his remarks:

“I spoke up in support of Angel Reese against racism not to start drama,” he posted. “But I won’t let anyone twist the truth just because it’s inconvenient to them. Instead of trying to check me, just tighten up your circle. They calling me and saying you hate Caitlin Clark, not the other way around.”

“I have zero interest in being the villain in anyone’s story. I just want to have fun, tell the truth and celebrate sports. But I won’t pretend or lie just to protect feelings.”

The Origin of the Drama: Podcast Commentary and a Heated Debate

The current social media firestorm traces back to an episode of Griffin’s podcast, where he claimed it was “obvious” that Angel Reese harbored a personal dislike for Caitlin Clark, going beyond competitive tension on the court.

“If you hate Angel Reese because she is Black, you are the problem. If you hate Angel Reese because you are a Caitlin Clark fan, don’t turn it racial. There should be no space for racism in this world.”

While his stance against racism was clear, Griffin’s attempt to defend past commentary while simultaneously revealing alleged private conversations did little to calm the waters. Instead, it further inflamed tensions and dragged Reese into another round of online harassment she never asked for.
