In a statement released through his spokesperson Andrew Wyatt, the 88-year-old Cosby opened up about the personal impact of Malcolm’s death, linking it to one of the darkest chapters of his life.

“It was like losing a son,” Cosby said in the statement. “He and my son Ennis used to play together. Now both of them are gone. It hurts in a way I can’t even describe.”
