Social Media Reacts to Addison Rae’s New Instagram Thirst Trap Selfies – Where Is The Buzz

[ad_1]

Addison Rae just dropped a trio of fresh selfies on Instagram, and the internet, naturally, had a lot to say.

In the photos, the 24-year-old social media superstar and budding pop singer struck poses in a pair of curve-hugging jeans, showing off her figure with a coy mix of confidence and flair. While Addison’s selfie game has long been part of her brand, this latest set featuring a close-up of her face, a back-facing mirror shot, and a low-angle pouty pose has reignited a familiar debate online: is Addison Rae still stunning the timeline, or just serving reheated leftovers from her 2021 peak?

The Post That Launched a Thousand Takes

Pop Base, the widely-followed pop culture news outlet on X (formerly Twitter), reposted one of the selfies with the caption:

“Addison Rae stuns in new photo.”

And that’s all it took.

Within minutes, their replies were flooded with commentary that ranged from thirst tweets to existential pop culture critiques. Here’s a sampling of the internet’s unfiltered reactions:

  • “Omg she looks SO good! 😍”

  • “Sheesh, she’s serving looks as always 🔥”

  • “You gotta stop with the ‘stuns’ in every average picture 😭”

  • “The future of pop music right there”

Okay, so far, so normal for any celeb post. But not everyone was feeling the love.

From “Iconic” to “Irrelevant”?

Some users had noticeably harsher takes, reflecting a broader skepticism about Addison’s place in the pop culture landscape:

  • “No, no she doesn’t. She’s become a shameless caricature of herself and seemingly nothing she can do will reignite the fantastical sensationalism she once had years ago. Her era is over.”

  • “Addison reducing her career to catering to men so early is sickening LMFAO, she’s taking the Sabrina route.”

  • “The rolls😭… not everything sexual can sell and that’s okay!”

Yikes. It seems some followers are less interested in Rae’s aesthetic and more invested in critiquing her career choices and the public image she’s projecting.

One especially self-aware tweet admitted:
“One day I watched all her music videos & thought of jus tweeting the words ‘Addison Rae has an ass’ & I felt it was minimizing her as an artist & didn’t do it. I kinda regret that cause she makes it a less fun tweet everyday.”

It’s giving complicated stan guilt meets pop culture fatigue.

Body Shaming and the “Flatty” Discourse

Unfortunately, where the internet goes, body shaming often follows. A wave of mean-spirited replies honed in on Rae’s body in the selfies, proving yet again that online culture still has a toxic obsession with how women present themselves:

  • “Look like she had too much Diet Pepsi”

  • “Fatty with a Flatty”

  • “She got no ass to be posing like that”

  • “Where is the stunning”

For every comment hyping her up, there was another tearing her down, illustrating the brutal, contradictory expectations women face online. Be hot, but not too hot. Be confident, but not attention-seeking. Be natural, but also flawless. Basically: no one can win.

Stephen A. Smith says he’s ‘salty’ with Michelle Obama and criticizes her past Trump remarks

[ad_1]

Stephen A. Smith claims that First Lady Michelle Obama “clapped” at him and is responding by saying he’s “salty” with her.

Earlier this week, Obama said on her podcast “IMO” that watching Smith’s network home of ESPN is like watching the Bravo franchise, making an analogy about the state of sports entertainment and saying it’s all “sociological drama.”

“If I listen to ESPN for an hour, it’s like watching ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ she said to her guests, “Las Culturistas” podcast hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang. “I mean, Stephen A. Smith, he’s like every other talk show host.”

It wasn’t Obama, but Rogers who suggested that Smith would make a great Real Housewife, which Obama agreed to.

Smith responded to the comments in a segment of his YouTube show, “Stephen A. Smith Show,” with quite a few thoughts.

“I would like to see you have some people on your podcast with dissenting opinions,” Smith said. “So they could have an opportunity to clap back.”

He addressed the Bravo comparison, even calling Bravo host Andy Cohen a “highly successful individual,” and also saying sports and reality TV are nothing alike, and that Obama was “so wrong about that assertion.”

But what Smith really wanted the opportunity to do was to respond to Obama’s comments last fall when she was campaigning for former Vice President Kamala Harris, who ran against President Donald Trump. In a speech talking about reproductive rights, Obama addressed men, saying that a vote for Trump is “a vote against us.” Smith said he took “major offense” to that remark.

“While you are revered to me personally, I’m still a bit salty at you,” Smith said. “Black men don’t just love our Black women, we revere y’all. To say what you said back then, I think to this day is the only thing I didn’t like that you said. I didn’t appreciate it.”

“Because there’s so many things that go into deciding where your vote is going to go. For some people, it’s all about the economy. For others, it’s all about national security. For some people, it is immigration. For some people, it’s safety in the streets of America. Long before they think about pro-choice or pro-life.”

He also expressed that he was unhappy with Barack Obama for making similar comments to Black men who support Trump.

“To blackmail us emotionally to try to compel us to vote one way or another is part of what won Trump the election,” Smith said.

Smith has previously expressed his interest in running for president and has been critical of the Democratic Party.

Twitch Streamer Cinna Destroys Ageist Trolls in Viral Rant: “Do You Prefer Kids?” – Where Is The Buzz

[ad_1]

Twitch streamer Cinna is firing back at social media users who mocked her age following her appearance at the AMP Pool Party. After X (formerly Twitter) users began leaving comments like “pushing 28” under photos of her, the popular creator took to stream to deliver a direct and unfiltered message.

“Kindness b*tch. F*ck the kindness,” she began, setting the tone. “I’mma say it if you’re over there quoting like a picture of me and you know who you are with your bum ass Twitter account…”

Cinna didn’t hold back, calling out the weird obsession some people online seem to have with women aging.

“Okay, there’s a few of y’all and you say things like, ‘Oh, these women are pushing 28.’”

Then, she flipped the script, asking the real question behind the age-based digs.

“By the way, do you prefer kids? Do you prefer kids?”

Cinna emphasized that the way these users act suggests something much darker.

“And based on you know what I mean the way you act, I would say that you do, cause that’s half the tweets that you do.”

Finally, she concluded with a bold, unapologetic mic drop.

“So if that’s the type of time that you’re on then you prefer kids. That’s fine.”

Lewis Hamilton says he has ‘a lot going on in the background’ after another tough race

[ad_1]

A day after calling himself “useless,” Lewis Hamilton said he’s facing issues “in the background” after another difficult Formula 1 race.

Hamilton finished 12th Sunday, the same place he’d qualified the day before, a result which had prompted him to call himself “absolutely useless” and suggest Ferrari might consider changing drivers.

His race was a world away from teammate Charles Leclerc, who was disappointed with fourth after starting on pole.

“When you have a feeling, you have a feeling. There’s a lot going on in the background that is not great,” Hamilton told British broadcaster Sky Sports after the race when asked to explain his comments from a day before. Asked if he’d lost his love of racing, Hamilton said no.

In response to a question about seemingly being forced off the track by old rival Max Verstappen, a standout moment in an otherwise largely quiet race for Hamilton, he said: “I don’t really remember it, to be honest.”

Verstappen was investigated over the incident, but not punished. Hamilton “waived his right to attend the hearing,” the ruling from the stewards said.

A representative for Ferrari speaking on Hamilton’s behalf “confirmed that there was no contact between both cars and further stated that the driver of Car 44 (Hamilton) chose not to attempt to remain on track,” the stewards added.

A statement issued by Ferrari after the race included comments from Hamilton saying he’d “recharge” over the four-week break until the Dutch Grand Prix.

“It’s been a challenging weekend and one to move on from. We weren’t able to make the progress we hoped for but I’m grateful for the effort everyone in the team put in throughout the weekend,” Hamilton said in the statement.

“Now we head into the break. I’ll be using the time to reset, recharge and come back stronger. I’m not where I want to be yet, but the fight’s not over — don’t count me out.”

It was a frustrating day overall for Ferrari as Leclerc lost pace in the second half of the race and went from fighting for the win to dropping off the podium altogether after a hard-fought battle with George Russell of Mercedes.

In a lengthy radio message, Leclerc suggested Ferrari was not listening to him in an “incredibly frustrating” situation and that the car had become “undriveable.”

After the race, though, Leclerc said he’d been mistaken.

“I spoke too quickly, I guess,” he told Sky Sports, and said he’d been informed after the race that there had been a problem with his car’s chassis.

Noir Nation; A deadly Legionnaires’ disease outbreak has rocked Harlem, leaving 22 people sick and one person dead!

According to NBC News officials from the NYC Health Department cases were confirmed across five zip codes—10027, 10030, 10035, 10037, and 10039—since July 25.

🚨 “If You Feel Sick, Get Checked Out Immediately”

Health officials are urging Harlem residents to take any flu-like symptoms seriously.
“Cough, fever, chills, or difficulty breathing could be early signs,” said Dr. Toni Eyssallenne, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for NYC Health + Hospitals.
“The earlier you’re diagnosed, the better the outcome.”

💬 “Flu‑Like Symptoms? Don’t Wait”

Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Toni Eyssallenne urged residents to seek immediate medical care if experiencing cough, fever, chills, muscle aches, or difficulty breathing. “Legionnaires’ disease can be effectively treated if diagnosed early,” she emphasized, especially for high-risk groups like adults over 50, smokers, and those with chronic lung conditions

💦 Cooling Towers May Be the Source

According to People, city investigators have already tested every cooling tower in the affected area, ordering urgent disinfection where bacteria were found. The Legionella bacteria thrive in warm water systems, especially in air conditioning units, fountains, and hot tubs.

Legionnaires’ disease isn’t contagious—but it can be life-threatening if untreated. It’s typically spread through inhaled mist, not person-to-person contact. Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend Tracklist Is Here and It’s Petty, Perfect, and Absolutely Deranged – Where Is The Buzz

[ad_1]

Sabrina Carpenter is in her pop provocateur era, doggedly defiant, scandalously cheeky, and completely unbothered. After nearly breaking the internet with her single “Manchild” and igniting a culture war with her risqué album cover, the 25-year-old pop phenom has now unveiled the full tracklist for her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Man’s Best Friend, due August 29.

And let’s just say: she’s not playing nice.

A Tracklist Tailored to Chaos

Carpenter revealed the titles of the album’s songs one by one over the past week, orchestrating a cheeky scavenger hunt that involved fans posting selfies with puppies and holding signs showing off the individual track names. It was playful, intimate, and unmistakably Sabrina. Today, the full 12-song lineup was finally unleashed in its entirety.

Here’s the complete tracklist for Man’s Best Friend:

  1. Manchild

  2. Tears

  3. My Man on Willpower

  4. Sugar Talking

  5. We Broke Up Again Last Night

  6. Nobody’s Son

  7. Never Getting Laid

  8. When Did You Get Hot?

  9. Go Go Juice

  10. Don’t Worry I’ll Make You Worry

  11. House Tour

  12. Goodbye

With song titles that read like messy texts from a relationship autopsy, the album promises a cocktail of romantic disillusionment, sarcastic rage, and emotional chaos all tied together with Carpenter’s now-trademark wink.

“Manchild” Sets the Tone and the Charts on Fire

The album’s lead single “Manchild” dropped in early June and instantly set the tone for what Man’s Best Friend is about: toxic relationships, immaturity, and the feminine art of calling bulls**t with a catchy hook.

Written alongside frequent collaborators Amy Allen and Jack Antonoff, who helped sculpt the sound of 2024’s Short n’ Sweet, “Manchild” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it her second chart-topper following “Please, Please, Please.” The hit blends bubblegum melodies with biting commentary, a balance Carpenter has perfected in recent years as she’s stepped fully into her pop star power.

The Controversial Cover: Canine Allegory or Cultural Grenade?

While Carpenter’s music has been celebrated for its fearless femininity, it’s the album cover of Man’s Best Friend that truly set tongues wagging. The original artwork depicts Carpenter on all fours, being yanked by the hair by a man in a suit, imagery that sparked immediate online outrage, accusations of misogyny, kink-baiting, and even religious offense.

In typical Sabrina fashion, she responded not with an apology but with art and shade. She dropped an alternative black-and-white cover showing her peacefully resting her head on the shoulder of a suited man. Her caption? “here is a new alternative cover approved by God.”

A Pop Star Who Knows Her Audience and Her Moment

Sabrina Carpenter’s rise from Disney darling to Gen Z’s reigning pop antihero hasn’t been accidental. With every glittery diss track and tongue-in-cheek video, she continues to rewrite the rules of mainstream pop stardom. And she does so with a firm grasp on social media virality, the cultural zeitgeist, and how to turn backlash into Billboard domination.

In a tweet celebrating the full tracklist reveal, Carpenter gushed,

“thank you to all my beautiful perfect fans that helped me reveal the tracklist for Man’s Best Friend🐾 the final track reveal is… track #2 ‘Tears’ can’t believe the album will be in your ears in exactly 4 weeks ♡”

If the public response to Manchild and her last record is any indication, Man’s Best Friend won’t just be heard, it’ll be felt, fought over, and probably memed to oblivion.

Trump calls Charlamagne Tha God ‘racist sleazebag’ and ‘Low IQ’ after Fox News interview

[ad_1]

President Donald Trump threw several personal insults at radio personality Charlamagne Tha God following the “The Breakfast Club” star’s recent interview on Fox News’s “My View with Lara Trump.”

In a fiery Truth Social post on Sunday, Trump called Charlamagne, real name Lenard McKelvey, a “racist sleazebag” after the Black radio veteran told the president’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, that he believed Trump was doing a “terrible job” since returning to the White House.

“I don’t want to say that I think he did a terrible job, but if he’s doing a terrible job, I gotta call it like it is,” said Charlamagne, who noted that he said the same about former President Joe Biden, a Democrat.

He continued, “All we want is somebody in those positions that’s going to do a good job. I’m not a party person, in no way, shape or form.”

Trump, an avid viewer of Fox News, apparently watched the Saturday night broadcast and made it clear he was not a fan of Charlamagne–or his stage name.

“Why is he allowed to use the word “GOD” when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?” wrote Trump, who added, “He’s a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done.”

Trump, who has made clear in recent months that he believes he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, listed the number of wars and international conflicts he was able to negotiate, including the peace agreement secured between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. The president also touted himself for closing the “horrendous open” U.S. southern border and “creating the greatest economy, where prices and inflation have come way down.”

The latest economic data actually shows that core consumer prices have risen and the job market is cooling, which is causing concern for sustained or rising inflation and potentially an economic crisis, such as a recession.

Trump also attacked his predecessor, Biden, calling him “STUPID” and “CORRUPT” and claiming Biden set the record for “doing the Worst Job as President, EVER” (there is no official “record” for U.S. presidents’ performances in office).

Trump concluded his Truth Social attack on Charlamagne, writing, “But this dope, Charlamagne, would vote for Sleepy Joe or Kamala? Remember, one year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World. MAGA!!!”

During his appearance on Lara Trump’s show, Charlamagne warned Republicans that the political party will face a crossroads once Trump’s second and final term ends, much like what happened to Democrats after the presidency of Barack Obama.

He explained, “Republicans are going to make the same mistake that Democrats made…Barack Obama was a once-in-a-lifetime, you know, political juggernaut. And since Barack Obama, every Democrat has tried to be Barack Obama. You’re not Barack. You can’t.”

Similarly, he said of Republicans, “So if you think you’re going to be able to do what Donald Trump has done, talk the way Donald Trump has talked, get away with what Donald Trump has got away with. It’s not going to happen.”

Charlamagne continued, “I think that…traditional conservatives are going to take the Republican Party back. I think there’s a political coup going on right now in the Republican Party that people aren’t paying attention to.”

He argued that the Jeffrey Epstein controversy that Trump is facing will give traditional conservatives an opportunity to “take their party back” from him.

“That has gotten the base riled up…the MAGA base isn’t letting this issue go,” he said.
