Imagine that interview: two women dismantling the Kardashian machine with frosty lattes and unintentionally taking down the internet. Legendary.

Katy Perry: The Pop Icon That Would Not Die

“Katy Perry has been such an enormous pop culture icon for so long,” Camilla explains. “I want to see what that transformation looks like.”

Pay attention, man, whatever you can say regarding Katy, she did give us Teenage Dream, Firework, and that infamous Left Shark. She’s a survivor, kid. The music business did its best to devour her, spit her out, and there she sits, enjoying her Vegas residency and depositing checks.

Should Camilla win Katy, I crave the secrets of that Witness period wig, and stop at nothing until we acquire it.

Kylie Jenner: From Lip Kits to Legacy

“Kylie’s somebody that I greatly admire,” Camilla confesses.

And same, babe. Kylie Jenner made lip gloss wealth one generation ahead of most of us learning how to do our taxes. She has the rest of the world hooked on every raise of an eyebrow, every fuzzy paparazzi image of Stormi’s lunch box, and yet she still plays the role of the laid-back sister.

“She seized social media and made an empire,” Camilla explains. “That’s insane.” Truthfully? That’s camp.

Megan Fox: Our Dark Angel

“I want to know how he thinks,” Camilla explains. “How do you dream that big?” Same, girl. If I had his cash, I’d have caviar on a Birkin bag at Bora Bora, not making Squid Game in North Carolina.

What makes Camilla’s list so delicious is how different they all are. Kim, Katy, Kylie, Megan, and MrBeast. Tell me that wouldn’t be the most chaotic and iconic lineup of all time.

 Cardi B testified Wednesday that she didn’t touch a security guard who alleges the rapper cut her face with a fingernail and spat on her in an altercation outside an obstetrician’s office during the hip-hop star’s not-yet-public first pregnancy.

“She couldn’t get a scratch from me because I didn’t touch her,” Cardi said on the stand in her second day of testimony in a Los Angeles County court.

Ron Rosen Janfaza, lawyer for the plaintiff, Emani Ellis, asked her if she had been angry.

“Yes I was angry!” Because I’m pregnant!” Cardi replied. “And this girl’s about to beat my ass!”

She acknowledged that the argument got very heated — repeating in court much of the swearing the two did — and that they were chest-to-chest at one point, but said the fight never became physical.

“She didn’t touch me,” Cardi said. “She was going to touch me, but she didn’t get to touch me.”

Cardi said she had been visiting Los Angeles doing promotional work in February 2018 around that year’s NBA All-Star Game. She was four months into her pregnancy with the first of her three children with rapper Offset. She had told her inner circle she was having a baby, but not the public or her parents.

The obstetrician’s office had been closed to other patients on a Saturday for her privacy.

She said Ellis, a security guard for the building, followed her to her fifth-floor appointment. Cardi said she heard Ellis say her name into a phone and appeared to be filming her. Cardi feared Ellis would out the fact that she was pregnant.

“I told her, ‘Why are you recording?’” Cardi testified, “and she said, ’Oh my bad.’ She practically apologized.’”

But the argument grew increasingly heated, she said.

“As we were arguing she’s backing me, she’s walking into me,” Cardi said.

Both women are 32 years old and about the same height, but Cardi said Ellis was bigger than her.

“She is like, security-heavy,” Cardi said. “She just looks a little, like she could protect the building.”

Under friendlier questioning from one of her own attorneys, Cardi explained why she was keeping her pregnancy secret at the time, seven months after the release of her first major label single and major hit, “Bodak Yellow,” when she was still in her “freshman year” of stardom.

“I was getting used to things,” she said. “I was just so worried about what everybody was saying and thinking. I thought I was letting a lot of people down.”

But she said, beyond that, she treasures her privacy on all medical matters, “especially something so sacred as a pregnancy. It’s yours.”

A significant chunk of the testimony was spent on the acrylic nails with rhinestones Cardi had that week, and whether they could do the damage that’s alleged.

“It wasn’t a shape that was harming, it was coffin-shaped,” she said. “They weren’t sharp.”

Ellis testified earlier in the trial that the incident left her humiliated and traumatized, and the scar on her face required cosmetic surgery. Ellis, who lost her job over the incident, is seeking damages that include medical expenses, compensation for emotional and physical suffering, and lost wages, along with punitive damages. She does not specify a total amount in the lawsuit but Cardi said from the stand that she is “suing me for $24 million.”

Tierra Malcolm, the receptionist from the doctor’s office who got between the two women and broke up the argument, gave testimony Wednesday that mostly supported Cardi’s account.

She said she came into the hallway after hearing a ruckus outside but saw no physical fighting. She later noticed a scratch on her own face that she assumed came from Ellis, because she had been facing her with her back to Cardi.

Asked to characterize the argument, Malcolm said she wasn’t sure if she could swear in court.

“We’ve heard just about everything so far, so it’s OK,” Judge Ian C. Fusselman said to laughs from much of the courtroom.

The testimony came at a small courthouse outside Los Angeles in Alhambra, where trials involving celebrities are very rare. The trial is taking the rest of the week off and is expected to resume, and conclude, next week.

It appears the Love Island USA crown fell faster than Bryan served a round of tequila shots. Two days after the reunion special, fan favorite Amaya Espinal, affectionately called Amaya Papaya, confirmed on Instagram story that she and Bryan Arenales are done.

“My papayas, Bryan and I are no longer together. After leaving the villa, it became very clear that we were on two different journeys. Our visions didn’t align and relationships are supposed to be a team sport. You don’t have to drink the whole sea to know it’s salty. All love here and I truly wish him the best.”

This split news follows days after observant onlookers saw the couple unfollow one another on Instagram. And in 2025, that’s not only a red flag, it’s the whole stadium flashing bright.

End of Bryan and Amaya Villa Romance

Amaya Papaya worked harder than nearly everyone on the cast as she tried her best to establish herself at the house. Her natural sweetness combined with an endless variety of adorable terms of endearment definitely irritated more than a few of the guys. Ace Greene would almost have hives at the very mention of her referring to him as “baby papaya.” But when Bryan jumped up for her during a challenge, the audience back and across America fell for the couple.

It ultimately pushed them to the finish line, with them sharing the $50,000 prize. It was kind of a fairy tale ending, of sorts, except instead of glass slippers, there were bikinis, tequila, and lots of firepit speeches.

Trouble Brewing Outside the Villa

That breakup reveal wasn’t so unexpected. During the August 25 reunion, Bryan had to clarify that rumors, including whispers that he had been caught “living single” at a club shortly after shooting, were false. His alibi? Nothing happened except a little too much of a good time with shots. A charming explanation, but obviously not quite enough to convince Amaya that their futures belonged on the same path.

Amaya’s salty-but-poetic breakup quote, “You don’t have to drink the whole sea to know it’s salty,” immediately became the new entry on the Love Island vocabulary list. It’s Shakespeare in swimwear.

Did Nia Long just do a sub post?

The 54-year-old actress had fans buzzing online this week after she dropped a vague and mysterious post to her Instagram Stories that many interpreted as a pointed shot at cheating men, or one (alleged) cheating man in particular—her ex, Ime Udoka. 

“Too much attention from a side chick makes a midlife crisis man think he’s a king. Easy tiger, it’s just a paper hat from the kids’ table,” the “You People” star wrote per Complex. 

The post comes almost two years after the “Missing” actress ended her longtime relationship with the current head coach of the Houston Rockets. The pair began dating in 2010 before welcoming their son Kez in 2011. Despite being together for over a decade and getting engaged in 2015, the pair never tied the knot. Their relationship ended in December 2022, when Udoka—then head coach of the Boston Celtics—was suspended for an improper workplace affair with a female Celtics staffer. 

The scandal, for which Udoka apologized, made headlines nationwide, forcing “The Best Man: The Final Chapters” alum and her family into an unwanted spotlight. She, who is also mother to son Massai Z. Dorsey, 24, from a previous relationship, later said the breakup was a “wakeup call” during a conversation on Jeezy’s YouTube channel.  

 “It was a wakeup call for me in the sense of like, ‘OK, you’re going to do this on your own and you’re going to be fine and you’re not going to worry about what anyone thinks and has to say,’” she said.

“The relationship was rocky for a very long time,” she admitted, adding, “I don’t believe another person can break anyone up.”

Overall, she said in terms of healing and progress, “I think I’m exactly where I need to be.”

She added, “Some days, I’m totally good and then, other days, I’m like, ‘Oh God, this feels like so much work.’ And then, other days, it feels like women shouldn’t have to be this strong. I don’t want to be this strong sometimes.” 

 As she became emotional, she said, “I’m good. I mean, listen, it is what it is.”

Since then, Long and Udoka have endured a somewhat public custody dispute over Kez that ended in her gaining sole physical custody while he maintains reasonable visitation rights and is required to pay Long over $30,000 a month for child support.

Listen guys, this man Travis Hunter is speeding thru life like he is trying to set records off the field as well. He is a rookie for the Jacksonville Jaguars and hasn’t even had his first snap in an NFL game yet but his résumé for this offseason already is a Hall of Fame induction speech.

From Heisman Glory to Jacksonville Spotlight

Hunter, fresh off being an NFL Draft’s No. 2 overall pick following a record Heisman season at Colorado, is set to unleash his two-way sparkle at Duval. Jaguars fans can’t wait to watch him shut down receivers and make his own plays at wideout when it opens at home versus Carolina Panthers. And now he’s coming into that first game with something even greater on his chest: fatherhood.

The Biggest Surprise of Them All

Just a few days shy of kickoff, Hunter and his longtime girlfriend Leanna dropped a bomb on Instagram that caused double-takes throughout the sports universe. The couple posted a YouTube video called “Dear Son…” and at its conclusion, boom, there’s their new baby boy. Hunter’s response was as authentic as it comes. You hear him muse about how that baby looks just like him and give props to his wife with “You did good baby.” It’s a moment so precious it even makes tough cornerback soft.

She’s been with him through the grind, from being a five-star recruit, to shocking the college football world by choosing Jackson State, to balling out under Deion Sanders in Boulder, to finally reaching the NFL. Now at just 22 and 23 years old, they’re married, living in a baller Florida mansion, fresh off a dream honeymoon, and already parents. That’s a power couple blueprint right there.

Jaguars fans seek interceptions, touchdowns, and highlight reels. But it is a reminder this story develops for you faster than any wideout on a go route. Travis Hunter is not only beginning his rookie year, he is beginning fatherhood, his first marriage, and the limelight all at once.

Organizers of a Target boycott that began in January are pointing to their tactics as a hopeful sign that actions against corporate retailers can still make a deep impact.

When Target announced its current chief executive officer will be stepping down in February 2026 and an insider was taking the helm, those organizers saw it as a move in the right direction and stress more than ever that boycotts will continue as long as previous promises made to the public go unfulfilled.

“It’s been now nearly 200 days and what all the statistics and economics are showing that since that boycott was announced on that Monday — every single week since then — Target foot traffic in nearly 2,000 stores has declined sharply and continues to decline,” said organizer Jaylani Hussein, at a news conference of the National Target Boycott movement outside Target’s Minneapolis headquarters late last week.

Boycott organizers in Minnesota were among some of the first to galvanize when Target opted in January to follow other companies like Amazon and Walmart and forego diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. High-profile civil rights activists like the Rev. Al Sharpton and the Rev. Jamal Bryant also made similar calls for what they deemed a betrayal of previous DEI promises.

Social justice advocates say this shows boycotting is a key tactic not to be taken for granted.

Retail analysts say it’s difficult to gauge the exact impact of the boycott, since Target has faced a slump the last few years and a leadership change was in the cards. Still, groups like Washington-based DC Boycott Target Coalition insist falling foot traffic is “due in no small part” to a boycott that spans coast to coast.

“The leadership change doesn’t mean anything without a culture change,” the group said in a statement, vowing to continue pressuring Target until the corporation sees its diversity goals as “more important than bowing to an administration that is filled with racism, failure and hatred.”

Opponents began the national boycott in February, during Black History Month. Their strategy left some Black-owned brands with merchandise on Target shelves conflicted or scrambling.

By April, Sharpton actually met with Target’s CEO Brian Cornell, who had been at the helm for 11 years. But, nothing concrete came of it.

Target CEO change was long planned

Cornell’s departure from the role had been in the works for several years.

In September 2022, the board extended Cornell’s contract for three more years and eliminated a policy requiring its chief executives to retire at age 65. When Target’s chief operating officer Michael Fiddelke takes over, Cornell will transition to be executive chair of the board.

In a call with reporters, Fiddelke attributed the sales malaise to many issues, like focusing too much on basics and not enough trendy items, particularly in home goods.

Data shows Target sales were already sliding

Stacey Widlitz, president of investment research firm SW Retail Advisors, said she believes that Target’s sales malaise has more to do with its operational issues — messy stores and poorly stocked shelves — not from its pullback from DEI initiatives.

Unraveling them did not affect Target “exponentially compared to somebody else,” she said. “The consumer has a very short memory. If you have great, compelling product at value prices, they’ll forgive you.”

The number of Americans who say they regularly shop at Target has gone down 19% since 2021, according to GWI, a behavioral attitudinal data provider. The number of Americans who say they do not shop at Target has risen 17%.

The same analysis also looked at trends along party lines. Since last year, the number of regular Target shoppers who identify as Democrat has declined 13%. Inversely, the number of Republican customers has risen 13%. It’s not clear if that is due to Target’s $1 million donation to Trump’s inauguration or some other factors.

Organizers are sticking to boycott strategy

The strategy of racial justice boycotts stretches back over 160 years, from Reconstruction era “Buy Black” campaigns stressing the Black American economic influence to the Montgomery Bus Boycott of the Civil Rights Movement. There have been more modern campaigns like the NAACP’s 15-year economic boycott of the state of South Carolina over its display of the confederate battle flag widely regarded as a symbol of hatred and slavery. The civil rights group ended its boycott in 2015 after the state removed the flag from its statehouse grounds, following the massacre of nine Black parishioners at a historic African Methodist Episcopal church in Charleston.

Some Black creators on the social media platform TikTok rejoiced on the platform at the CEO leaving and credited the boycotts. Others cautioned that Cornell was essentially promoted but that the boycott is still needed.

Black Americans’ buying power has climbed over the last 25 years and is now an estimated $2.1 trillion annually, according to Nielsen research.

Part of the reason organizers say they have zeroed in on Target is because the company had heavily touted a commitment to DEI back in 2020 after protests erupted across the nation over the murder of George Floyd. That year, Target announced it would increase representation of Black staff by 20% over three years and invest $10 million in social justice organizations. In 2021, the company pledged to dedicate more than $2 billion toward Black-owned businesses before the end of 2025.

In January, however, Target said it would conclude the hiring and advancement goals it had set.

For boycott organizers, a reversal of those decisions is the only way to rectify the situation.

“We’re expecting that Target is making good on the promises that it made. Otherwise there’s no point of discussion regarding calling off this boycott,” said Nekima Levy Armstrong, a civil rights attorney and past president of the Minneapolis chapter of the NAACP. “We’re asking people to join us, get involved and hold Target accountable for its actions.”
