The internet is buzzing once again around Joycelyn Savage—but her parents are calling cap, and this time, they’re blaming AI.

A newly surfaced video has gone viral online showing Joycelyn Savage, longtime girlfriend of R. Kelly, smiling and directly addressing the camera. In the clip, she firmly defends her relationship with the disgraced R&B singer—who is currently serving a 30-year sentence for federal sex trafficking and child exploitation charges.

“I’ve been with Robert for 10 years. He has been incarcerated for six years, and I have seen him every weekend for the past six years,” Joycelyn says.

She also shuts down the idea that she’s being controlled or manipulated.

“I am not held against my will. I am not a sex slave. I am not brainwashed or any of those crazy lies that were told on me,” she continues.
“Please do not believe the lies that my mother and father are coming out here saying about me and Robert.”

But Joycelyn’s family? They aren’t buying it—and now they’re accusing artificial intelligence of being used to generate a fake version of their daughter.

In a recent interview, her mother spoke out emotionally, saying it’s been six years since they’ve seen Joycelyn in person—and this video only deepens their concern.

“The video did bring some concerns because it appears that the video was AI-generated,” her mother said.
“There are inconsistencies. It doesn’t feel authentic. It confirms why we’ve been fighting so hard just to make sure she’s okay.”

She added that the family simply wants proof of life and wellness, not drama or clout.

The resurfacing of Joycelyn’s video has now triggered a new wave of debate across social media. Is it really her? Could the video have been edited or even artificially generated? And if it is her—why has she remained so isolated from her family for nearly a decade?

Joycelyn Savage has been one of the most prominent figures tied to R. Kelly’s controversial legacy.
